March through July 2009, Saria is teaching a poetry to performance class at the wonderful after school arts center Art Share in Downtown LA's Arts District. All classes are free and open to young people ages 14-24.

The class meets Thursdays 5pm-630pm at Art Share 801 E. 4th Place

This Session at Art Share the theme is Historia. The class will explore personal, regional and cultiral history. Come express your mind on the page and the stage! Learn the power of the free-write, the endless possibility of created by poetic devices and the legacy of amazing poets who have come before.

There will be opportunities to perform in the end of term showcase and in public venues throught the session. We will also take field trips to Poetry Houses to be inspired by more seasoned perfomance poets.
