Saria is availible to facilitate poetry and perfomance workshops in schools, youth centers and community centers.

June through Dec 2010, Saria is teaching a Poetry to Performance class at the wonderful after school arts center Art Share in LA's Downtown Arts District. All classes are free and open to young people ages 14-24.

The class meets Wesnesday 4pm-6pm at Art Share 801 E. 4th Place

This Session at Art Share the theme is"Shedding the Mask". The class will explore masks that we put on to face others as well as ourselves.

Come express your mind on the page and the stage! Learn the power of the free-write, the endless possibility created by poetic devices and the legacy of amazing poets who have come before.

There will be opportunities to perform in the end of term showcase and in public venues throught the session. We will also take field trips to Poetry Houses to be inspired by more seasoned perfomance poets.
